Chartado turns a line of text into an animated architecture diagram: type User -> API Gateway -> Lambda -> DynamoDB and watch a message travel it. Free is $0 and needs no card. Pro is $9 a month. It changes two numbers, how many diagrams you keep in the cloud and how many projects you can have, and everything else stays as it is on Free.

Same editor, more room. Pro exists for one situation: you have filled the free allowance and would rather not delete old diagrams to make space for new ones. If that never happens, there is no reason to pay.

Pro cannot be bought today. There is no checkout anywhere on this site. The button collects an email address, which I use for exactly one message when Pro opens, and the $9 a month above is a published price and not yet a promise, because nobody can be charged it.

These are on the roadmap. None of them is included in any plan today, and none of them is a Pro feature being withheld from Free.

Questions people actually ask
Is the free plan a trial?
No. There is no card at signup, no countdown and no expiry. Nothing switches off on a date. Free is a plan, not a runway to a charge.
What happens when I hit three saved diagrams?
The editor keeps working: it opens on an empty canvas, you type, the diagram animates, and a notice says you are at the allowance. What it will not do is save a fourth diagram to the cloud, so that one is gone on reload. Delete an old one and the canvas is untouched; press Save and the new diagram is kept.
So what is actually behind the paywall?
Two numbers, and nothing beyond them: saved diagrams go from 3 to 100 and projects from 1 to unlimited, and that is the entire Pro plan, which cannot be bought yet anyway. Every icon and every export is already on Free: WebM and PNG in the editors on this site without an account, and WebP and GIF animations, MP4 video and a still-frame PDF in the app after a free sign-up, all of them free. Team editing and a custom watermark do not exist on either plan, so they are not Pro features either.
Can I buy Pro right now?
No, there is no checkout on this site, so nothing can be charged and there is nothing to cancel. The Pro button is an email waitlist and is labelled as one; it takes the address and does nothing else with it. When Pro opens I send one message to that address, and that is the entire process.
Will the price change before I can buy it?
It might, and this is why: $9 a month is the number published today and nobody has paid it yet, so nothing is locked in, that number included. There is no launch discount and no deadline, and if either appears, this page is where it will be.
Can my team edit alongside me?
No, there is no invite and no shared editing, on either plan, so do not plan around it. The workaround today is to export the WebM (or a PNG) and post the file in the channel or the pull request. Whoever gets it sees the animation, which is the part that matters in a review, and the source text can go in the same message if they want to change something.
Do I need Pro to export an MP4?
No, MP4 (H.264) is free, like every other export. What it does need is an account: WebM and PNG come out of the editors on this site with no sign-in, while WebP and GIF animations, MP4 video and the PDF are in the app after a free sign-up. Pro is about how much you keep, 100 saved diagrams and unlimited projects, and cannot be bought yet; the Pro button on this page is a waitlist.
Where is the money-back guarantee?
There isn't one, because nothing can be paid for yet, so there is nothing to refund. The free plan takes no card and does not expire, and the source of every diagram is the text you typed, so you can walk away with it whenever you like.
